心 中 喜 樂 、 面 帶 笑 容 ． 心 裡 憂 愁 、 靈 被 損 傷 。

A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

捨 棄 正 路 的 、 必 受 嚴 刑 ． 恨 惡 責 備 的 、 必 致 死 亡 。

Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.

智 慧 人 的 嘴 、 播 揚 知 識 ． 愚 昧 人 的 心 、 並 不 如 此 。

The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so.

義 人 家 中 、 多 有 財 寶 ． 惡 人 得 利 、 反 受 擾 害 。

In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.

溫 良 的 舌 、 是 生 命 樹 ． 乖 謬 的 嘴 、 使 人 心 碎 。

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

耶 和 華 的 眼 目 、 無 處 不 在 ． 惡 人 善 人 、 他 都 鑒 察 。

The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

智 慧 人 的 舌 、 善 發 知 識 ． 愚 昧 人 的 口 、 吐 出 愚 昧 。

The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.

回 答 柔 和 、 使 怒 消 退 ． 言 語 暴 戾 、 觸 動 怒 氣 。

A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

不 轻 易 发 怒 的 ， 大 有 聪 明 。 性 情 暴 躁 的 ， 大 显 愚 妄 。
He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

诸 般 勤 劳 ， 都 有 益 处 。 嘴 上 多 言 ， 乃 致 穷 乏 。
In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.
